WHO WE ARE.
B DOPE is a nonprofit organization, that offers mentorship to underprivileged female high school students. B DOPE, Bold Determination in the Optimistic Pursuit of Excellence hopes to inspire, equip and encourage young women to make a difference in their community and future. The passion for B DOPE was founded after the tragic loss of founder Britney Hunter's mother, Paula Hunter.
Paula Hunter, tragically passed away at the age of 24 falling victim to domestic violence (1992). 11 years later at the age 17, Britney faced the loss of her maternal grandmother Patricia Mouton Glaze (2003).

Britney was forced to process heavy grief and loss while facing severe bullying in school. Forcing her into a phase of silence, mixed emotions, and resentment.
Eventually, Britney was given the right tools, turning negative energy into positive motivation, in hopes to reach her goals.

Britney defied the odds and was granted a full academic scholarship from the Frederick Douglass Honors Program at Texas Southern University (2004), graduating 4 years later with Summa Cum Laude Honors while working full time (2008).

Britney in 2011 went on to receive her Executive Master's of Business Administration from Texas Women's University in 2012. Soon after, starting her career in healthcare leadership at Houston Methodist Hospital in 2009, currently serving as the Senior Project Manager in the OB/GYN Department.
Britney hopes her story of success will inspire other young women facing adversities to remember they are the author of their own story. Always be mindful of how you write it and wear it well.
